The % displayed here is inconsequential. As about 90% of people who have not received their FP notice would vote, but only about 5% of people who have received the FP notice would do the same (As they see more interesting thread somewhere). But I am glad someone atleast created a thread and we see 40 odd people who are in the same situation.

I applied for 485 on july 12th to NSC, case transfered to TSC. Have not got FP for both me and my wife.

there are about 40%..... so lots of them....

this is not correct. You can use EAD to work wherever and whenever you want. If you get laid off after let say 1 month from filing, it is safer to transfer h1b, but it is not true that if you use EAD you should go back to original sponsor.
You must only go back IF AOS IS APPROVED within 180 dyas from filing.

That thread is is informative but does not directly answers the question, as it covers variety of items. Personally, I just want know if any one who filled in July got rejected , if yes, what are the details. If folks are willing to stick to responding only if their 485 in July got rejected, with details. I would recommend to keep this thread.

This procedure in CT is bind boggling , the reason for all this headache is My wife got a job in CT and my Job is in IL. I requested my employer whether he would allow me work remotely ( i am a consultant though) they agreed for it and HR manager got back to me saying even though u r changing residing address , and since ur working remotely in IL there is no need of change of worklocation amendment for LCA or H1B . Now CT DMV says they need an CT employer Letter or else they will not issue a license .. system ... this procedure is not commendable. if nothing works i feel i have no other option continue maintaining IL State plate and License.

Hi Folks,

What is the fastest and perhaps a little economic way to get documents over to chennai (Tamil Nadu) or Calicut (Kerala) from here in San Jose, ca.

USPS has this service called Express Mail ($27.95) or Priority Mail ($12.95)
I guess USPS is claiming 6-10 days (guess no gurantee) to india.

Other couriers seems to be $70+ (FedEx, UPS, DHL)..

Anyone has had good luck with USPS ? or do you suggest the couriers mentioned above ?

Need to get docs for an interview for parents on Feb 26th in Chennai...

My online status has been showing 'Finger printing fee rejected and case now in suspense' since july 2006 although i had my FP done in Aug 2006.

I've called customer service many time to correct this issue but no luck so far. Also my attorney sent mail/follow up with USCIS and it did help either.

Now i've stopped looking at on-line status....

You should avoid phrases such as "fast track green card". That is being presumptious.

Last year when people were campaigning for the rally, some of the campaign slogans were "come to the rally and get gc now instead of 10 years later". That is pushing people's hopes up without reason.

The problem with such promises and anticlimaxes is, you will not be able to sustain their interest.

I think gceverywhere is trying to make an appeal, and just to attarct people to this thread, he named it fast track EB greencard. ;) His intentions are correct ... but the method he chose is not. If this becomes a trend, readers will have tough time.

U need to Say the last entry because H1B visa will tell you the stamping city. SO u can go ahead and tell them the port of entry u came to USA after H1B stamp, since u will be sending a copy of ur passport and they will see ur Canada visa and also the H1 visa with Canada as the date of issuance and that will be in the USCIS database, because they verify before they issue the H1 visa.

well. won't you need the receipt when you travel..i thought one was required to carry the receipt when traveling internationally.


I'm going to ask my employer/lawyer for the receipt as I have to go out of country in the second week of October. But you never know, these guys don't care about your life.. They might still not give it to you... (Yeah, everyone knows I-485 is OUR application and they do not have a legal right to hold our receipt notices, but we are at their mercy for atleast 180 days)

My AP was mailed by USCIS in January and I never received it. Called USCIS customer service, they said I need to apply again by paying $305 again. Called up USPS and they cannot find it, USPS said they will be sending me apology letter.

Did any one lost AP in mail, did any of you refile again.
