I have an appointment in Toronto next month and today I got a voice message from the US embassy in Canada saying that there could be processing delays of days or months and the decision will be taken by the visa office during the interview. Has anyone else got this kind of message?

Cut Off Dates- Consulate General of the United States Mumbai, India (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/cut_off_dates.html)
shows different dates for EB3 India.

They copy china dates. They did the same thing last time. I think their program needs a fix. They will change it manually eventually. But in the meantime if you want to rejoice in hope feel free. I did that last month. I knew I was kidding myself but then thought, why not indulge myself.
Three years back I dreamt my labor got cleared. Labor mind you not GC.Even in my dreams I don't see that. I was delighted. I was aware I was dreaming(One of those lucid dreams) but I let it continue. It felt good for a while. This is the same thing. Have fun

Hi Friends,
I am a green card holder, becoming eligible for citizenship in April 2009. My fianc�e has been in the US for the past 2 plus years on F1. She completes her MS in December this year .We plan to visit our home country in August this year and get married. I thought this was a relatively uncomplicated case till I read in some forum recently that marriage to a permanent resident can be a barrier to being admitted to the U.S. in F-1 status. This is because such a marriage obliterates the "non-immigrant" intent required for F-1 entrants. This could very easily jeopardize her plan to re-enter in F-1 status.
Any thoughts or advice on this? Appreciate all the help.

I have a question which I hope someone can help answer.I have applied in EB2 category and am from India.My PD is July 2005. I have used AC21 recently and changed my employer(i.e I am no longer with my sponsoring employer) I have not notified USCIS of the same.
I plan to travel to India during September 2008 and use AP to reenter back into the US. Can someone help answer the below doubts.
1) Since at the port of entry the Immigration Officer will ask whether I am still with the same employer or not- I will have to say I have moved to another company- What happens then?
2)Does using the AP and subsequent answer of "Yes- I have changed my company" trigger a RFE during the GC allocation process since now I have to prove to USCIS that my job is "same or similar" and my pay is >= the pay mentioned in my LC.
3) Has anyone successfully used AP after using AC21 and not had an RFE issued during GC allotment?

My limited understanding about the GC process is that from the day I-485 is filed, a person may change his/her job only after 180 days or more, and of course by filing AC 21. Also, in case the I-485 does not get approved within the 180 days after filing, then how can a person change a job without having an EAD.
A person can EAD only once I-485 is approved? Is that correct. Please throw some light on the above points. Thanks in advance.

Hello ,
both father and mother attended visitors visa interview together at hyd counsulate. interview finished on February 18th 2010. no questions to mother in interview just all questions to father only and then said " you will get visa in 5 days " thats all.
Our father passport came with visa stamping on 26th itself that means counsulate gave that to vfs on 24th february.
still our mother passport is with counsulate of hyd only. they didnt give to VFS. i checked with vfs.
Contact Information - U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad, India (http://hyderabad.usconsulate.gov/contact_info.html)
what to do , total 15 days (i.e; 10 working days ) over. in this above link they gave email id of counsulate. shall i send email to them . if i send email will that effect the mother visa stamping approval in any way like negative way. counsulate phone number also there but that is restricted for urgent/emergency purpose. is this will come under urgent/emergency ?
if you suggest me to give email to counsulate my father and mother went for interview in regional language as they are not familiar in english. so on mother name itself shall i give email or on behalf of our mother we need to give email. if you dont mind could you please let me know the what exact good words i need to email to counsulate like sample matter .

My wife is stuck in Bangalore right now, as she was give a 221(g) pink slip on the 16th of Jan, 08. She's actually at school, with about 7-8 months left for graduation. She's getting a Phd in Molecular Biology. Spring semester has already begun, and she's missing a lot of research, and teaching.
When is a good time to contact the consulate? Many 221(g) cases even after her interview date have been cleared. I wonder what the hold up is.
Also, can you please elaborate on the PIMS and Security Clearance issue?

I did not get any result on my H1 extension but in the meantime my GC was approved in August. My question is will i be able to get my H1 processing fee back, at least the premium processing fee. I heard if your H1 processing doesn't get any result in certain time you will be entitled to get your money back.

If you ask about the status of your H1 they will just get back to you saying that your H1 application was rejected since the applicant is n longer in Non Immigrant status as your status chnaged to Immigrant as soon as your Green Card was approved. One year for my labor had not elapsed and I had no other way to get the 8thyr extension so my attorney applied for the premium processing, it was applied on 16th and got it approved by 27th of June. If your labor has met the 1yr req. you could always apply for the 1yr extn, don't see why you won't be able to use the 1yr labor rule..hope this helps,

Anyway that I can get a solid black line? It keeps preserving the opacity deficient coloring of the actual rectangle. More or less, the black line is getting the same 50% opacity as I made the rectangle. Don't want that. :P

This is my understanding PERM has no fees to department of labour. Is that right ?
Can employee may attorney fees for PERM ?
Can employee pay I-140 fees for USCIS ?
